GHS Spanish Club
1999-2000
Purpose: The purpose of Spanish Club is to promote the knowledge of modern Spanish
culture. We fundraise in order to spend money on scholarships and different projects
throughout the school year. In addition, we do community service and have field trips.
This year we had our successful Salsa
Night on October 23rd and part
of the profit from that event will be donated to the Heifer
Project. We are looking forward to
having another dance thanks to the support of everyone who attended and those who
made possible this outstanding event.
Membership: Any GHS student, regardless of the ability to speak Spanish, race, color,
or creed is welcome to join the club. Those who wish to become a member of Spanish
Club must pay the membership fee ($3.00), attend 80% of the meetings, and be constantly
participating in activities sponsored by the Spanish Club. All members are required
to do a minimum of 10 hours of community service in order to go on the annual field
trip and be considered a Spanish Club member. Note: Any failure to complete the requirements
stated above will disqualify a person from being a member of Spanish Club.
